Coarse fishing
This is specialised fishing only available at certain times of the year. The most widely used technique is English angling, waggler, feeder, swing-tip, quiver tip, and of course the traditional pole fishing. In fact, where there are fish, all that you need is a line, a float, and bait, in order to catch something.
There is no closed period, but it is recommended that you fish from the start of March to about 20 May, and from the end of June until the end of October - remember spawning time between 20 May and the end of June !
Pike fishing
The most traditional technique is fishing by casting with decoys of all sorts - spoon, floating minnow lure, according to the sizes and specific features allowed in Ireland, and :
· Trolling off a boat
· Fishing with deadbait direct ledgering
· Fishing with deadbait jigging
There are also techniques specific to our Centre, which we keep a closely guarded secret for our clients.
Game fishing
The technique used is solely fly-fishing, dry and wet fly. No other method of fishing is used. When fishing on the river and in reservoirs, a fishing permit is compulsory. It is issued for the day or the week, and the price varies depending on the fishing areas.-.
