For pike fishing, boats are necessary in Ireland, whether it is on lakes or rivers. In fact, the vast majority of banks are made up of bogs, which make it difficult, if not impossible, to fish from the riverbank.
A fleet of 40 fishing boats is available to you for lake or river use. The main fleet is at the Centre, in front of our accommodation, and you have your boat around the clock. It is in effect hired out for the day.
DESCRIPTION OF THE FLEET
· River boats : length 15 foot, for one to 3 people, with a 8 HP heat engine, 12 litre tank, with oars
· Echo sounder : Battery operated Eagel with engine relays, (latest models) which allows you to determine underwater depths, and pinpoint large pikes
· Detailed plan of the fishing areas for your safety
· Lake boats, length 12 foot, for one to 3 people, with a 4 HP heat engine a 5 litre tank built in and oars;
All craft have life jackets and the engines are regularly maintained.
